Sanyo withdraw from Projector Market |
By administrator | 30 November 2011

In a surprise move, Sanyo have announced on 28th November that they are withdrawing completely from the Projector Market.
This has come as a surprise to us as they have always been seen to be market leaders, but their strategy has obviously changed.
They will still support the repair and warranty commitments that are in place, but as of the end of March 2012 they will not be supplying hardware.
There are two ways of looking at this announcement, there will be some bargains to be had as they sell off all the exisitng stock, so if you are in need of replacement projectors then there will be an opportunity to get some low cost replacements, and secondly the other major manufacturers will be seeing this as an opportunity to take over Sanyos place in the market and will be offering, we are sure, some great deals to achieve a greater market share.
We are currently waiting for announcements from Hitachi and Acer on this situation, if you would like to be kept informed of developments, please drop me an email and I will ensure you are the first to know ! : This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
